It's another simple start to yet another week. But this week has one more day of holiday, and that is the nation's birthday! Independence day of Singapore. YAY!! Long Weekend!!
So the week started with more work on both SYSMEX and Roche. On SYSMEX, i'm handling the project rather on a touch and go kind of feeling. I have to learn as fast as i can and start solving issues or preparing for UAT. It's a little hectic since there is no dedicated team, just my senior and me. Plus i'm supposed to be taking care of the mantle he is holding on when he goes for his long holiday. Arghz... So right now i'm learning as much as i can and pushing myself. Putting two hours minimum daily into SYSMEX.
And on Roche side, things aren't all nice and rosy. The Indian counterpart are very confused and yet they still want to continue with the development of the system. They submitted their requirements and we have gone through with them. Some are easy, tweaks to some parts here, change of values there and we meet their requirement. But there are some, which will need a big overhaul of the system. With such a tall order and such a short period of time, it isn't going to be possible.
With so much on hand and more coming to my plate, i can only welcome them with wide open arms. Even if i have to lose sleep, less computer games time and possibly less interaction with my family. Boy i "LOVE" my job!
